Non-commercial Clinical Research in Poland

Medical Research Agency

The Medical Research Agency (MRA) is a Polish state agency, which tasks include development of scientific research in the field of medical and health sciences. Its main goal is to build an innovative healthcare system, which will contribute to a better way of meeting society’s needs through assessing which new medical technologies and therapeutic methods should be used.

Currently, the Agency implements one of the first public grant programmes that finances non-commercial clinical trials in Poland. The Agency has planned five calls for proposals for the year 2021 – two which have recently closed, concerning clinical research in rare diseases and creating and further developing Clinical Research Support Centres, and three which details are yet to be announced, concerning clinical research in psychiatry and neurology (second quarter of 2021), development of innovative therapeutic solutions that use the RNA technology (may 2021) and prevention and curing of civilisation diseases (third quarter of 2021).

Clinical Research Development Centre

The development of aforementioned Clinical Research Support Centres is one of the projects of the Clinical Research Development Centre (CRDC). The main goal of CRDC is to initiate and support the activities that aim to remove the barriers in clinical research development in Poland. From its beginnings, The Centre has been analysing and defining the scope and direction of changes to optimise the clinical research market in Poland and supporting the development of said research.

the 25th anniversary of Deutsch – Niederländische Rechtsanwaltsvereinigung

The Krakow office of KIEŁTYKA GŁADKOWSKI KG Legal received an invitation to the jubilee seminar on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Deutsch – Niederländische Rechtsanwaltsvereinigung, due to the membership of one of the law firm’s managing partners (Jakub Gładkowski) in this organization.Due to the pandemic, an international jubilee seminar is scheduled for May 2022 at Schloss Krickenbeck in Nettetal (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany).

The Managing Partners of KIEŁTYKA GŁADKOWSKI KG LEGAL would like to express their best wishes and congratulations to the management board of DNRV, including especially Att. Ute Acker, Arjen Westerdijk, Regine Nuckel, Anton Bouwmeister, Alexander Sanio on this great jubilee.
The invitation was accompanied by a specially wrapped bar of Belgian chocolate from a Dutch manufacture, which engages in useful social campaigns.

A sweet gift from the Netherlands helps a lot in the pandemic, especially on a rainy day by the Polish Vistula in Krakow!

Participation of the partners of KIEŁTYKA GŁADKOWSKI in the LEGAL TECH conference and in the annual Deutsch-Nordischen Juristenvereinigung e.V.

On April 23, 2021, the partners of Kiełtyka Gładkowski KG LEGAL as part of their membership in the international legal organization Deutsch-Nordischen Juristenvereinigung e.V. will take part in the annual meeting of members of this organization. On the occassion of the annual meeting, the organization organized an international online conference on legal issues called “Legal tech” in the form of two main lectures and online discussions:

  1. “Use of legal tech: status, opportunities and challenges in the Legal advice”, by Attorney Dr. Mathias Schulze Steinen, LL.M. (Helsinki) from DLA Piper UK LLP, Frankfurt am Main;
  2. “Online contract negotiation – possibilities & challenges”, by Attorney Anders Perméus, LL.M. (Heidelberg) from Law firm Swedish Legal Tech AB, Stockholm.

Legal tech issues are among the priority specializations of KG LEGAL KIEŁTYKA GŁADKOWSKI law firm.

“Globalization and Cooperation: What Technologized Future Will We Create?” roundtable

On 14 April 2021 Attorney Jakub Gładkowski is taking part in “Globalization and Cooperation: What Technologized Future Will We Create?” roundtable organized by Techonomy. Some of the speakers featured will be Joy Tan – SVP, Public Affairs, Huawei Technologies USA and Scott Malcomson – Author of Splinternet: How Geopolitics and Commerce are Fragmenting the World Wide Web (2015). Director of special projects, Strategic Insight Group; former foreign editor, New York Times Magazine.

Some of the topics discussed will be 5G technology and how it will enable the future of such sectors as manufacturing, transportation, banking, education, and health care.
