KG LEGAL Kiełtyka Gładkowski was pleased to be represented at the ABA International Law Section Fall Conference, held in London from 21–25 September 2026 at the magnificent Mansion House.
The conference brought together an outstanding international community of legal professionals and provided a valuable forum for exchanging knowledge, sharing practical experience and discussing the latest developments affecting cross-border legal practice. The programme covered a broad range of topics, including international disputes, the use of AI in legal proceedings, digital assets and asset recovery, arbitration enforcement, corporate transactions, privacy and regulatory challenges.
Our partner Małgorzata Kiełtyka participated as a speaker in the panel “Heed Caution When Using Contractual Terms Such as ‘Best Knowledge’, ‘Best Efforts’ or ‘Material Adverse Change’ Outside the United States”.
Together with fellow panellists, the discussion explored how commonly used M&A contractual terminology may carry different legal implications across jurisdictions. The panel highlighted the importance of careful contractual drafting and of taking local law and jurisdiction-specific practice into account when negotiating and documenting cross-border transactions.
We would like to thank the moderator, Randall Hanson, and fellow speakers Jörg Rehder, Alberto Predieri and Mark Howard for an engaging and highly practical discussion.
For reference, we have also included a PDF containing the detailed programme and panel information from the conference.

The conference provided an excellent opportunity to exchange views with colleagues from different jurisdictions and to strengthen professional connections within the international legal community. The knowledge and perspectives shared during such events contribute directly to our day-to-day work and help us develop practical solutions for clients involved in complex cross-border matters.
We are also pleased to share a short video recorded outside Mansion House, in which our colleague reflects on the conference and expresses our appreciation to the American Bar Association, the International Law Section, Section Chair Ed Mullins and Angela Benson for their hospitality and excellent organisation.
We thank all colleagues, speakers and friends who contributed to making the London conference a valuable and inspiring professional experience.
