We are pleased to announce that we will be participating in the 10th European Cybersecurity Standardization Conference, which will take place on March 12, 2026. The conference is jointly organized by the European standards organizations CEN, CENELEC, and ETSI, in cooperation with ENISA, the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity.

What is ENISA?

ENISA – The European Union Agency for Cybersecurity is a specialized European Union agency responsible for supporting member states, EU institutions, and the private sector in improving cybersecurity in Europe. Its mandate was strengthened under the Cybersecurity Act, which made ENISA a permanent pillar of the EU’s digital security architecture and entrusted it with a key role in the development of the European cybersecurity certification framework.

The agency’s main tasks include monitoring and analyzing cyber threats, developing reports and forecasts on the evolution of cyber risks, and developing guidelines and best practices to support public administrations and businesses in effectively managing the security of their information systems. ENISA also serves as a platform for cooperation between member states, facilitating the exchange of information on incidents, vulnerabilities, and methods for responding to cyber threats.

The agency plays a particular role in the area of cybersecurity standardization and certification. It supports the development of European certification schemes for ICT products and services, collaborates with European standards organizations, and provides technical expertise necessary for the implementation of new EU regulations, such as the Cybersecurity Resilience Act or the NIS 2 Directive. Thanks to this, ENISA contributes to the harmonization of security standards throughout the European Union and strengthening trust in digital technologies.

ENISA serves as a focal point for cybersecurity expertise at the European level, combining legislative, technical, and operational activities. Its initiatives aim not only to respond to current threats but also to build Europe’s long-term digital resilience through education, standards development, and fostering international cooperation.

Thematic scope of the Conference

This year’s anniversary edition of the event will focus on the role of standardization in the new EU cybersecurity legislative landscape. The agenda includes:

1. Challenges and opportunities for European standardisation – Discussion of Europe’s current position in the global standards ecosystem and directions for further development.

2. New legal acts and technical standards – Overview of European legislative initiatives and their impact on the process of creating and implementing standards.

3. Standards for Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) – Current state of play on the harmonization of standards supporting the new EU regulation on cyber resilience of digital products and its relationship with other regulations.

4. The future of European standardisation – Interactive discussion on the further development of the standards system in Europe.
